Very, nice Aussie. And even though the breed is called Australian Shepherd, it is actually one of the few dog breeds that was created in America. In fact, it was created in the western United States and used mostly as a cattle dog. No one really remembers why they first called it an Australian Shepherd, though some believe that a few dogs used to make the breed may have come from Australia and that is where the name came from.
